teenFEMM - Grade 8

Core Lesson Plan

teenFEMM Grade 8 provides a more in-depth look at the role of hormones in the healthy functioning of the female reproductive system. Students become their own cycle charting experts, identifying healthy cycle patterns for their age. In Grade 8, students also learn about the male reproductive system, including the importance of the main male hormone, testosterone, for a man’s overall health. Through lessons and activities, students learn healthy habits when it comes to nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and conflict resolution, so as to confidently navigate the changes of puberty.
